Happy Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve everyone.

I’m super excited about Christmas this year. I think last year was such a hectic year that I don’t really remember much about Christmas. This year though, we will all be together and having a big dinner at my mum and dad’s.

All the presents are wrapped and under the tree. The Holiday is on whilst I type this, with my mug of hot chocolate next to me. Mum is making some fancy food and Sophie is making her DELICIOUS Greek lamb for dinner tomorrow.

Christmas is my favourite time of year. I love the big coats, wooly hats, gloves, eating loads of comfort food, letters to Father Christmas, the child’s opening the gifts, their little Christmas outfits, big pyjamas, dressing gowns, books, films. It’s all so exciting.

Tonight I will be reading The Night Before a Christmas and watching It’s A Wonderful Life. All a bit cliche I know, but I love it.

After Christmas it’s a time to reflect and decide what I want to do differently next year. Some of my things I have already thought of are writing more letters, discovering more places with the children, fixing our garden, redecorating the children’s rooms to make them somewhere magical and fun to play in, taking more photographs, keeping a diary, appreciating people more. What things do you want to do next year?

I hope you all have a magical Christmas Eve. Enjoy your Christmas Day tomorrow.
